Make-up artist Laurie Koellner applies the base color to Lyndsey's face. She makes sure that it will blend well with her natural skin color while applying it.  "It's very important to not only blend your make-up well but to make sure that it will blend with your natural skin color." said Laurie Michelle and Emily dig through Laurie's different kinds of make-up, which include, glitter make-up, foundations, hair clips, eye shadows, lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes, and lip and eye pencils. "She had a large variety of make-up we could choose from. I was also glad she demonstrated how to cover up flaws" said Emily.

Laurie Koellner, make-up artist from California, shares her techniques on cosmetology.  With her suitcases of make-up, she explained how to apply colors, improve flaws, and identify and enhance your best features. Not only did she discuss the everyday make-up she also explained the differences between photography make-up, character make-up and television make-up. "I had no idea there were so many different kinds of make-up" said Emily.
Michelle holds very still as Emily applies her eye mascara in Fashion Strategies Class.
