CCHS Basketball

   The CCHS Longhorns battled the Gothenburg Swedes on Friday January 14th.  The boys won in a very tough game by a score of 69 to 66.  "It was a close, competitive game, and exciting for the people who were there to watch.  We won, so it made it even better," said Coach Vires.  The boys now have an outstanding record of 8-3.    Eric F. lead the Longhorns with 25 points and Mike S. was close behind with 23 points.  Nick K. lead the Horns in rebounds with 9.

Matt focuses on his free throw attempt. Matt was 2 for 2 on free throws and scored 9 points against Gothenburg. Coach Vires instructs Nick, Matt, and Eric the way they're going to run the next play.

Eric shoots a jump shot while Nick and David run in to rebound his shot.  Eric was 5 for 7 of 3 pointers, and 4 of 11 for 2 pointers.  He was the leading scorer for the Longhorns with 25 points. Eric breaks outside to receive a pass from his teammate, while Nick stands at the top of the key.
