Every year Mr. Lenners, the P.E. teacher takes part of the second semester to teach freshmen   different styles of dancing.  Mr. Lenners has 17 students in his 5th hour P.E. I class. The first dance taught was the 4 step box. Next they learned to line dance and the electric slide. The last  dance Mr. Lenners taught was the country swing. "We will spend the most time on it because it seems to be the hardest for the freshmen to learn. I also dance with the students and help the ones who are having a hard time. It's fun to watch them and see how much they're learning." said Mr. Lenners. At the end of the unit students are tested over the four dances.

Mr. Lenners helps Sarah M. get the hang of the table top which is a move in the country swing. Lacey W. and Russel R. have done the country swing before so they really  get into it. "I like doing the country swing because it's fast and I like to dance fast!" said Lacey

Jeremy G. and Amanda W. start slow.   The swing is harder than it looks. Audra S. shows  Joey W. how to do the swing. "She had a lot of experience with the swing and I had a hard time keeping up with her" said Joey. "I like the swing because I know it and you're actually dancing to descent music." said Audra.
