Arts Fest Week

    Arts Festival week was held March 20-25.  The theme of this year's festival was "This Land is Your Land."  Family Night was held on Tuesday with students bringing their parents to the Arts Fest Parade.   The parade consisted of many booths including "The Creative World of Potatoes," "State in the Wall," and The "Political Party".  The annual Pops Concert was held on Thursday with students performing as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and The Dixie Cups.   The highlight of the night was   Mr. C. recieving  the "Teacher of the Year Award" presented  by Great Plains Communications.  The Science Fair was held on Friday with the 7th and 8th graders projects.  People could learn about experimental science and interview some of the inventors.

There were more than just art designs to look at during the festivval.  Students line up to participate in the sponge splash, one of the many activities. These students enjoyed looking to see what their classmates had created.  The masks on the wall were one of the projects displayed at the festival.

The students and their parents walk around to look at the art projects the students designed for the arts festival. Get a ringer and win a prize!!  Sixth graders focus on the target that they are supposed to toss the ring onto, hoping to win a prize.
