5th & 6th Grade Pops Concert

On March 23, 2000 the annual 5th and 6th grade Pops Concert took place at the CCHS auditorium.  The theme this year was "Live from Studios of Kimp-TV."  Along with the singing and the dancing, there was a big surprise at the end.  Mr. Hain announced that Mr. J Gorden Christensen recieved the Great Plains "Teacher of the Year" award.  The CCHS administrators nominated him for the award.  The only restriction was that the contestants had to be located in the 100 communities that Great Plains serves.  They then divided the communities into four districts.  Each district chose one finalist to receive the award.  Mr. "C" was then chosen out of the remaining four.  He recieved a plaque along with a $ 5,000.00 check.  "This will go directly to my Doctorate Degree," said Mr. "C".
