Shenandoah

This years CCHS musical was Shenandoah.    It is about a Virginia farmer who wants to keep his family, six sons and one daughter,  neutral during the Civil War.  "We practiced for  six weeks which amounted to about 21 rehearsals," said Director Mr. Hayes.  Unlike many of the past musicals this one was more serious.  "This musical wasn't a comedy so it is difficult to create an emotional response from the audience like making them laugh.   I was very pleased with the emotional response that we got from the audience," said Mr. Hayes.  "My favorite part of the musical was the music.  I thought the music in this musical was wonderful," said Mr. Hayes.
