(New)1.  NeSA Preparation Test :  Format is based on the NeSA State Test.  Passages were purchased from the same company as state test.  Therefore, we feel this is the best tool to prepare students for a better performance.  In addition, all scores will be collected and can be used for your School Improvement process because all tests were Criterion Referenced (CRT). Note: If your school uses our Online Assessments for your Social Studies evaluation, there is no charge for the RWSL Prep.

(New)2.  ESSAYGrader : Automatically evaluates submitted essays for 4th, 8th and 11th grade students.  All evaluations are based on State Writing requirements.  Reports will assist teachers in preparation for the State Writing submittals.

(New)3. Learning Center : Teachers can establish their own tests, web pages, worksheets and have access State Test Tutorials.

(New)4. Standard Detail Report : The report keeps track of all standards being tested by students. Identifies STAR and Non-STAR, along with levels and average level attained by students. Identifies SPED by blue coloring.

(New)5. NRT Import/Export : Provides import to SIP and export to NSSRS for Terra Nova; NWEA; and ITBS achievement test scores. This service will simplify the NSSRS requirement for NRT export and provide the third triangulate for the NDE's Continuous Improvement Process.

5.  Classroom Grading:  Under Test Management.  Schools can design the percentage grade students receive on each assessment based on their grading scale or custom design.  The percentage achieved by each student that goes into the grade book will be displayed on the results display.  Students can immediately see how well that did on their assessment and their grade can be placed into the grade book for their levels.  Great motivator for students, because it affects their grade. Two schools of thought, as to percentages: (1) Use school grading scale: 93, 86, 79, 40?, let's not zero a low score.  (2) Use Met/Not Met:  93, 70, 68, 40. I like this one.  Students that meet the standard get a passing grade.  Students not meeting standard get a percentage less than 70% with no zero.

7. Student Management Service : We piloted this service during the 2006-2007 school year and it was shown to be very beneficial to Large and Small schools. The following items are covered by the service:

• Add new student codes, along with disabling, deleting, modifying and replacing existing codes.
• Auto-Announcements:  Keeps Administrators and Assessment Coordinators up to date with automatic e-mails.
• Work with designated core teachers and designated administrators to insure all STAR and NCLB assessments have been completed and results reported to the NDE-NSSRS.
• Standard Reports are sent automatically to administrators and designated teachers each month starting in December or upon request.
• All subscriptions will receive free access to the Standard Detail Report and Data Export (NSSRS  and Local only).
• If new EssayGrader is purchased by school, total access to our new Learning Center for RWSL is provided at no cost.  With this feature, all teachers can post tests, quizzes, worksheets and have access to reports for online grading.  RWSL Tutorials, to prepare students for State Test, are provided to participating schools.  In addition, automatic Web Page Generator will be free of cost.

8.  Default Grid :  Located under Report Management.  Allows Teacher to pinpoint concepts not attained by class or specific students on default tests.  Truly a Learner Centered module. 

9.  STAR Monthly Report :  Located under Report Management.  Allows Administrators and teachers to quickly see how a specific graduation class has performed on all the standards in a given area.  In addition, it identifies who has not passed, the number of times they have taken the tests and who hasn't taken the standard.  This report makes it very easy to complete the NDE STAR Reported Standards.

10.  NCLB-AYP Report : Located under Report Management.  Allows Administrators and Teachers to see how their student are performing and to see if they are meeting baseline percentages at real-time.  Used to complete the NDE's AYP Reports for Reading Comprehension and Math. Also includes access to the AYP Detail module.

11. Parental Access : Located on home page for nestandards.  It allows parents to see how their children are doing on the standards.

12.  School Improvement :  Located under SIP.  Schools can gather Assessment, Achievement and Coursework data immediately to make SIP decisions.  Detailed plans are generated Online to complete the process.  Schools pay $1000 upfront and can use the system for their 5-6 cycle without further cost. 

13.  Multi-Standard Selection in SIP : This module allows selection of one or all standards to be evaluated and placed into your School Improvement Plan in individual or composite graphs. Basic SIP allows one standard at at time and divided by gender, race, socio, etc. Graphing allows by standards or can be represent in overall standard selection display.

RESULTS

14.  Curriculum/Standard Mapping :  Located under Curriculum.  School can see the Gaps and Overlaps, along with date started and finished for each indicator on each STAR standard.  Also, displays assessment results by AYP criteria.

15.  Data Export :  Located under Report Management.  Great tool to export student test data into an Excel Spreadsheet for graphing, etc. for local reporting and needed to export reports to NSSRS for Assessment Fact and Response.  Due to the constant changes required by NDE, I had to reinstitute the charge.  Free, if school signs up for SMS.
